Adult therapy...

Perhaps you find yourself lying awake at night, your mind busy trying to untangle the worries, thoughts and emotions that follow you through the day.

Are you carrying the weight of a bereavement, loss or a significant life change and need a space to make sense of the emotional and physical impact it has had on you?

Perhaps you are navigating a transition you never expected — separation, divorce, a change in where you live or work, children leaving home, or a new chapter of life where you are wondering, “Who am I now?”

Maybe you have received a later-life neurodivergent diagnosis, are considering exploring one, or are beginning to understand yourself through a different lens.

Alternatively, maybe your a parent who wants to understand your process, history and patterns so you can better support your children.

Or perhaps you feel like you are searching for a way forward, overwhelmed by everything you are carrying and unable to see the forest for the trees.

Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer a space to slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and gently begin to untangle the threads of your story.

Perhaps I can help...

Are you ready...

My belief, and what research tells us, is that growthful therapy depends on what we call the therapeutic relationship. This is the connection that forms between client and counsellor and is reflected in how well you feel heard, understood and empowered to, be or discover your most authentic self.

Different to a conversation with friends and family, therapy offers ethical confidentiality, and the opportunity to explore who you are, without the pressure of roles and others' expectations. A chance to explore oneself behind the mask.

Much of the work of psychotherapy training is learning how to walk beside clients whose emotional pain may feel too overwhelming to be shared with their loved ones, or too tangled to make sense of alone.

Working together to understand your concerns, with curiosity and empathy I offer a compassionate and accepting space that helps you build a connection back to the core of yourself.  I have learned how to walk beside those who have been told they are too much, not enough or may have lost touch with who they are. I see my role as one of accompanying and supporting you to explore and heal your emotional wounds.

While I am a creative and expressive psychotherapist, whether you choose to join me and lean in to your creative side is entirely your decision and one that is honoured and respected.  Creative ways of working, talking therapy, and psychoeducation will be guided by you and what you feel you need from the therapeutic process.
